Turbulence Design Introduces Lang-Ching, a 75m Chinese-Inspired Masterpiece

Lang-Ching’s avant-garde exterior was conceived by architect Chong Wu. The yacht’s lines are inspired by a “garden stone carving,” as explained by Wu, who also noted the yacht’s transparent design elements and uniquely angled windows that allow natural light to saturate the interior. The interior renderings feature modern aesthetics combined with Chinese accents.

Other elements of a Chinese garden, such as a teahouse, potted plants, folding screen, and pavilion, have been incorporated into the design to create an “exotic space” for guests to appreciate. Wu explained that the Chinese name represented by symbols is derived from the calligraphy of Lantingji Xu and refers to an “ideal state of clear weather and smooth wind.”

It is intended that the standard saloon layout will be supplanted by a tearoom, thereby emphasizing Chinese customs throughout the living spaces and layout. The spiral staircase, which connects the helipad to the balconies and conforms to the natural design elements, resembles a tree structure.

There are accommodations for up to 12 visitors, including an owner’s suite, two VIP suites, and four guest staterooms. In the owner’s suite, there is a private office. In addition to guest areas, the lower deck will house up to 20 personnel members in 10 cabins.
