Tom Cruise’s Architectural Masterpiece Colorado Estate

According to the listing agents, Tom Cruise’s Telluride, Colorado estate was sold for the full asking price of $39.5 million just two months after he listed it for sale.

According to listing agent Dan Dockray of LIV Sotheby’s International Realty, the property was under contract within a week. “It really depended on who had their Gulfstream warming up on the tarmac to get out there first,” his colleague Eric Lavey, who also worked on the transaction, explained.

Mr. Lavey stated that the transaction is further evidence of the explosive growth of the Colorado market over the past year. He reported an extremely high demand for large, private properties with on-site sporting activities. The agents declined to comment on the buyer’s identity.

Mr. Cruise’s spokesperson did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

The primary residence is approximately 10,000 square feet

The approximately 320-acre property, situated at the end of a mile-long driveway bordered by an aspen forest, is surrounded on three sides by a national forest. In 1994, Mr. Cruise completed an approximately 10,000-square-foot native stone and cedar residence, in addition to a three-bedroom guest house. With wood-paneled walls and stone fireplaces, the primary residence is designed in a traditional mountain style.

The 58-year-old “Top Gun” and “Mission: Impossible” actor attempted to sell the property seven years ago, according to The Wall Street Journal.
