Pentatonix’s Soaring Success: From Viral Duet to Grammy Glory and Homeownership

Pentatonix, the popular a cappella group, has indeed shown significant growth and success over the past decade. They have released numerous EPs and full-length albums, captivating audiences with their unique arrangements and vocal performances. Their talent has been recognized on award shows where they have delivered remarkable tributes. One of their standout moments was a viral duet with Dolly Parton on “Jolene,” which was broadcast on “The Voice” and earned Pentatonix their third Grammy.

Beyond their musical achievements, one of the group members, Kevin Olusola, who is known for his beatboxing skills, got married to his longtime partner Leigh Weissman in a two-day ceremony last year. Olusola, a devout Christian, was born to Nigerian immigrants in Pasadena but raised in Kentucky. He recently purchased a new home in Westlake Village, a family-friendly area north of Downtown Los Angeles, for $2.8 million.

Olusola’s new home, built in 1979 but extensively renovated in 2018, is located on a tranquil hilltop cul-de-sac and offers breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding hills and hiking paths. The entrance features cream-colored parquet floors, and LaCantina foldaway doors create a seamless indoor/outdoor living space with stunning views. The great room includes a linear fireplace and built-in cabinets, while the kitchen is described as a “gourmet chef’s fantasy” with high-end appliances and beautiful finishes. The formal dining room boasts luxurious details like a butler’s pantry, icicle chandelier, fabric walls, and a white stone fireplace. The main floor also includes a guest bedroom suite, laundry room, and a living area with a modern bar.

The second level of the house features four additional bedrooms, including a spacious master suite with a fireplace, lounging area, dual vanities, and a glass steam shower. There is also a large terrace on the main landing, offering sunset views over the pristine hills.

Outside, a brick-and-concrete terrace surrounds the hexadecagonal pool and Jacuzzi in the backyard. The home is equipped with epoxy garage flooring, a Sonos audiovisual system, Lutron motorized window coverings, and recessed LED lighting.

Additionally, Olusola owns a three-bedroom townhouse in a gated community in Hawthorne. This property, purchased for $850,000 in 2016, is currently in escrow and seeking fallback bids at $999,000, according to the advertisement.

Overall, Pentatonix’s success in their music career, along with Kevin Olusola’s new home purchase, demonstrates their achievements and prosperity over the years.
