Manchester City star Erling Haaland, 24, has made a notable change off the field by selling his private plane, a Piper Malibu that he co-owned with his father Alfie and two partners. The decision to part ways with the aircraft, purchased for just under £2M in 2021, comes as Haaland has decided to concentrate solely on his football career.

Gun silencer tycoon Eckhoff Johansen, 47, reportedly paid a significant amount more than the 2021 purchase price, and the current market value for a new Piper M600 is £3M. Haaland and his father held a 37.5% stake in the business overseeing the six-seater aircraft.

Anders Eckhoff Johansen, the new owner of the plane, expressed his intention to make Haaland’s former private jet more accessible for others to use. However, Haaland, with his growing success in soccer, can now consider purchasing a private jet independently.

As Haaland recovers from a stress injury to his foot, which has sidelined him from the City side for several weeks, the footballer seems to be redirecting his focus from the skies to his on-field performances.
