According to a report from the Wall Street Journal on Monday, Jennifer Lopez has a new reason to celebrate as her Bel Air mansion finds a new owner, selling for just under $34M. The eight-acre estate was initially listed for $42.5M, approximately six months after Lopez, 54, celebrated her marriage to Ben Affleck with a ceremony in Georgia.
The more than 12,000 square feet home was represented by Brett Lawyer of Carolwood Estates. The sale price has not been officially confirmed, and PEOPLE has reached out to Lawyer for verification.
Carolwood Estates previously showcased the mansion in a video shared on YouTube, providing a close-up look at its numerous amenities. The property includes a chic library, a private theater, and a guest house that can serve as a gym or studio. Surrounded by large brown wood gates, the mansion features elements of nature with an assortment of stone and wood.
Inside, the main level boasts a living area with an elegant bar, a fireplace, and views of the expansive terrace. The chef’s kitchen is equally impressive, featuring two islands and options for lounging in the built-in breakfast area or the formal dining room.
The property also includes a separate guest cottage with a large motor court. The grounds offer various entertainment options, including a 100-seat amphitheater, a pagoda with a firepit, an entertainment pavilion with a full kitchen, a private lake with a sandy beach, and an outdoor shower.
During an appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show in April, Affleck, 51, shared insights into his marriage with Lopez. He praised her work ethic and discipline, noting her ability to eat whatever she wants while maintaining a stunning appearance. Affleck described Lopez as the most gorgeous woman in the world, emphasizing her superhuman qualities.
