Usher Sells $1.5 мillion Dream Mansion Pᴜrchased at the Start of His Career
Usher, the 39-year-old rapper, has recently sold the Alpharetta, Georgia mansion he acquired at the beginning of his career for $1.1 million less than his initial asking price. The U Remind Me singer fulfilled a childhood dream in 2003 when he purchased the house from music producer L.A. Reid, as revealed on the BET program “How I’m Living.”
Spanning over 8000 square feet, the house features seven bedrooms, eight and a half bathrooms, a private dance studio, a yoga studio, and a climate-controlled treehouse. Usher once described the master bedroom as “really elegant, yet very warm.”
Unfortunately, the musician’s Los Angeles residence, valued at $4.2 million, faced a burglary in late March, resulting in the thеft of cash and jewelry worth $820,000. Despite security cameras on the property, the burglars also took the tapes, complicating identification.
In the wake of Usher and his wife Grace Miguel’s separation announcement in March, the Georgia mansion was put on the market. The singer’s real namе is Usher Raymond IV, and the recent sale marks the end of an era for a property that held sentimental value since his early career days.
