John Terry has revealed significant construction work taking place at his Surrey estate, where he is preparing to add a new pool and tennis court to his property. Terry shared a video on his Instagram account, showcasing the ongoing transformation in his yard.

Wearing his iconic hi-his jacket with the number 26 on the back, the 40-year-old was seen outside his ÂŁ4.35 million property. Terry had previously completed the construction of his current home, where he moved in July 2019.

As the assistant manager of Aston Villa, Terry had provided updates on his outdoor tennis court and pool earlier in the year. Now, he has offered a glimpse into his new home, revealing gleaming-white fixtures and fittings being installed throughout the property.

Several brief videos on social media displayed the progress, including the laying of the floor, indicating that the construction is nearing completion. One video was humorously labeled the “wine and cigar room,” suggesting a potential ultimate man cave.

In another segment, Terry went outside to showcase the ongoing pool renovation. What was initially a mud bowl in the yard with distant diggers, now awaits tiling and water, as the pool foundations have been set.

Last summer, Terry had proposed building a new garage and space for outdoor gatherings, but these plans faced opposition from irate neighbors.

Concerns were raised about potential noise nuisances due to swimming pool activities and covered outdoor dining.

A neighbor’s letter to Guildford Council’s planning officer mentioned, “This space can be used all year round due to the presence of a heating source, preventing the neighbors from being relieved of noise annoyance all year.”

John Terry retired from playing at the end of the 2017–18 campaign to focus on his coaching career. Currently serving as Aston Villa’s assistant manager, Terry continues to make strides in both his professional and personal ventures.
