Recent reports suggest that the ultra-luxurious Galactica Star yacht, leased by Jay Z and Beyoncé for a vacation, is rumored to be owned by Nigerian oil magnate Kola Aluko.

This opulent 65-meter-long yacht, valued at £50 million (€65 million, $73 million), boasts impressive features, including a top speed of 28 knots (32 mph) and a unique hull design that enhances fuel efficiency, requiring up to 30% less power compared to similar-sized vessels to maintain the same speed.

Accommodating up to 12 guests, the Galactica Star features a full-beam master bedroom, an upper-deck VIP cabin, and four additional double cabins. The yacht includes a “beach club” with a helipad, a 10-square-meter balcony, and ample space for entertaining guests.

While rumors suggest a weekly rental cost of $900,000 (£580,000), the actual expenses may be higher, and prospective guests are required to have a connection with the owner for permission to stay on board.

Recognized with a Neptune Trophy in 2014, the Galactica Star’s interior was designed by renowned yacht designers Bannenberg and Rowell Design to complement its modern metallic hull.

Equipped with amenities suitable for warmer climates, the yacht facilitates easy access to and from the coast with its helipad for landing and storing helicopters.

Featuring 12 beds and additional space for guests across various levels, the yacht offers professional staff onboard for guest care. With a top speed of 28 knots (32 mph) and a weight of approximately 560 tons, the Galactica Star is one of the fastest in its class.

Noteworthy features include an upper deck with a Jacuzzi, bar, spacious seating, and a viewing platform, while the 106-square-meter sundeck houses a bar and Jacuzzi. The yacht’s innovative design incorporates large windows to create a bright and airy atmosphere.
