As many are aware, Rick Ross’s Georgian home is nearly as well known as the rapper. The 109-room estate in Fayetteville was once owned by Evander Holyfield, the heavyweight boxing champion. Originally called Villa Vittoriosa, Ross now aptly refers to it as the Promised Land. It has even been featured on the big screen, and he has thrown extravagant pool parties there. However, the opulent home isn’t the only opulent estate owned by the rapper “Diced Pineapples.”

When Ross first began his career in the music business, his mother wisely advised him on how to safeguard his expanding wealth. Ross, whose real nаme is William Leonard Roberts II, revealed in a 2021 interview with Forbes that his mother was a registered nurse who worked two or three jobs at a time and had a strong belief in the transformational potential of real estate. He stated, “She would just keep buying houses,” citing her straightforward philosophy of “making sure you can touch something before you buy it.” Following his mother’s advice, the musician and music executive has acquired a number of opulent properties in the last ten years and has enjoyed furnishing them to his own unique taste.

Although he was born in Mississippi, Ross spent his childhood in Florida and released his debut album Port of Miami in 2006. He relocated to Georgia prior to the release of his second album, Trilla, and bought a home close to Holyfield’s renowned Fayetteville estate. Although not much is known about the rapper’s first Georgian property, Ross revealed that he bought it partly so he could regularly ride by Holyfield’s residence. “I examined every bend, every hill, and every valley on the grass. I was rolling past the geese, staring at them. 2008 Urban Awards: Event Photos | Photos | BMI.comRick Ross in 2008

The rapper quickly submitted his bid for Holyfield’s substantial estate, which he eventually paid $5.8 million for. Five years later, he would spend $1 million to acquire an additional 87 acres next to the property, enhancing the already magnificent grounds he called The Promise Land. Originally constructed in 1994, the main mansion is 45,000 square feet in size and is renowned for having 109 rooms, 12 bedrooms, and 21 bathrooms. Its 100-person dining room and the 350,000-gallon pool in the backyard make it the perfect place to throw large parties and get-togethers. Every summer the mega-producer throws an open-air pool party and car show.

A few years later, while Ross’s mother and sister were assisting him in his search for real estate in the Miami Beach region, they came across an exquisite estate in the resort-style located in Southwest Ranches, Florida, that was for sale. The rapper said in the Forbes interview that his mother knew exactly what he liked, so when she sent him the link, it was a no-brainer. Soon after, he saw the property and told his agent, “This is my house.” NBA All-Star Amar’e Stoudemire, a friend of Ross, turned out to be the owner of the 2.3-acre property, which Ross paid $3.5 million in cash for. The athlete had owned the single-story home for roughly ten years at that point. The 8,600-square-foot pad has six bedrooms, seven bathrooms, two home offices, an indoor theater, a gym, and a pool with a waterfall. High ceilings throughout were a must given Stoudemire’s six-foot-ten height. Early in 2023, Ross shared on Instagram under the handle “Rodeo Rick” that he had bought property in Houston, showcasing multiple photos taken from the exterior of his new residence. The rapper shared a small portion of the property in a video tour, revealing that he paid $3.5 million for it. “To be honest, I don’t know how deep this pool goes,” he remarks in the video, panning to an amazing pool. “While others were buying Dogecoin and all that, man, I was buying real estate.”  In the video, Ross also flaunts his front gate, which is emblazoned with his initials, RR (“Rep your brand,” he exclaims), before showcasing his yard’s numerous palm trees, which he says he imported from Miami. As he circles the front of the house, he remarks, “This house goes all the way around, man.” “This is so big.” Although precise information about the house is not easily accessible, snippets from Ross’s video tour show off its spotless white walls and custom artwork. A week or so after Ross told his fans about his purchаse in Houston, word leaked out that he had paid friend and fellow rapper Meek Mill $4.2 million in cash for his Atlanta-area estate. Before finally growing tired of using a realtor to sell the mansion, Mill allegedly tried to do so for almost two years before posting about the eight-bedroom, nine-and-a-half-bathroom home on social media. (He provided a video taken from above of the property, which was later demolished.) The three-story, unfurnished property still belongs to Ross; he bought it with a tennis court, media room, two-car garage, sauna, and pool. The Star Island home purchased by Ross this year.Rapper Rick Ross buys Star Island mansion in Miami Beach - South Florida Business Journal
