The futuristic, hydrogen-powered superyacht concept ZeRo has been unveiled by designer Sam Sorgiovanni in conjunction with the 2021 Monaco Yacht Show.

The design, which features a sustainable propulsion system at its foundation, has a futuristic exterior while retaining “timeless elegance,” according to Sorgiovanni. The remainder of the “streamlined” exterior is comprised of a “striking yet sleek” semi-planing hull form and a “restrained” superstructure.

In the meantime, the propulsion system consists of hydrogen tanks, fuel cells, electric turbines, and a battery storage system.

The outcome is a yacht capable of high-speed travel with “zero carbon impact” on the environment. Few other details, including the design’s length, have been disclosed.
