Mirage Unveiled: A Stunning 83m Superyacht Concept by Daroca Design and Lateral Naval Architects

Daroca Design, a prominent Spanish yacht design firm, has recently unveiled the Mirage, an impressive 83-meter superyacht concept.

In collaboration with Lateral Naval Architects, Daroca Design harnessed the innovative Free From Bulkheads platform to challenge conventional superyacht architecture. This platform allows for impermeable bulkheads to terminate at the lower deck, ushering in a design principle that liberates the above-deck space from technical constraints, as highlighted on Lateral’s website.

Mirage’s minimalist design aims to seamlessly merge with the water’s landscape, creating an environment where the owner can harmonize with nature and savor every moment on the sea. Exterior renderings showcase extensive stretches of reflective glass, a semi-opaque aft section, and a gleaming metallic hull and superstructure, evidently drawing inspiration from the optical illusion that inspired the yacht’s name.

The yacht accommodates five cabins, with four guest cabins located on the lower deck at the vessel’s stern. A striking design element in the master cabin is a skylight positioned alongside the mast silhouette, adding a distinctive touch to the yacht’s profile while flooding the cabin with natural light, creating a spacious and airy living space.

The main deck aft is designed to serve as the primary social area, featuring a bar, U-shaped settee seating, and a generously sized swimming pool. On the terrace above, you’ll find an additional tiered mosaic plunge pool. The main saloon, situated on the lower deck, boasts 270-degree ocean views and floor-to-ceiling glass walls equipped with three sliding doors.

Forward of the main deck, you’ll discover a complete spa, while the bow hosts a helipad.

Mirage stands as Daroca Design’s second-largest concept to date, with their largest being the 105-meter “champagne-green” explorer yacht named Equilibrium, unveiled in 2021.
