Concept Yachts and Infiniti Yachts, both distinguished British yacht builders, have joined forces to unveil a groundbreaking 18.3-meter multihull model, aptly named the Infiniti 60 Powercat. This remarkable yacht combines sporty coupé styling with cutting-edge foiling technology designed to achieve a remarkable 35 percent reduction in fuel consumption.
Manufactured in Southampton, the Infiniti 60 Powercat is the larger sibling of the previously successful Infiniti 36 and Infiniti 52 models, extending the fruitful collaboration between Concept Yachts and Infiniti Yachts.
The yacht is designed to serve multiple purposes, making it suitable as a superyacht tender, a fishing vessel, or a compact liveaboard. It offers extensive customization options, including the choice of two, three, or four cabins. There are two primary formats available: the standard Coupé and the Grand Tourer Flybridge version.
To infuse the yacht with a distinctive style, Design Unlimited has been enlisted, collaborating closely with Infiniti Yachts and Concept Yachts. The yacht’s relatively modest beam of six meters allows it to comfortably berth in conventional slips, and it boasts “beachable” capabilities, seamlessly transitioning from sea to land.
Efficiency is at the forefront of the yacht’s design philosophy. Constructed from resin-infused carbon fiber, it offers various propulsion options, including petrol, diesel, and electric. The retractable DSS (Dynamic Stability System) foil is a standard feature, and Gordon Kay, the founder of Infiniti Yachts, played a pivotal role in developing the DSS system found on the Baltic 142 foiling yacht, Canova.
Together, Concept Yachts and Infiniti Yachts bring over two decades of experience to the superyacht sector. Denison Yachting will also collaborate with Concept Yachts as its sales and marketing partner, further solidifying the yacht’s market presence.
