Unprecedented Price: Michael Jordan’s Former Chicago Penthouse Tops $7 Million
Before Michael Jordan consented to his own remarkable sale, the last Chicago house he had sold for a significant amount of money when it was put up for sale.
In May, Jordan’s previous penthouse on Lake Shore Drive was sold for a price of $6.82 million, as reported by Dennis Rodkin of Chicago Business. In the 1990s, he made the PᴜгϲҺase of the house, but in 2014, he sold it along with his ex-wife.
The condo has a total floor space of 8,000 square feet, and it is divided up into three different sections. It’s the third-highest-priced house sale in Chicago this year so far.
While this is going on, one of Jordan’s houses in Chicago has been on the market for a whole decade. According to a story from Business Insider from the previous month, he dropped the asking price from $29 million to $14.9 million and offered to add a full pair of Air Jordans with the transaction.
The house in Highland Park has a basketball court that is the entire size inside as well as a tennis court, an indoor putting green, and an infinity pool.
Despite this, Jordan was successful in completing another large transaction when he agreed to sell his majority stake in the Charlotte Hornets for around $3 BιIIιоn. The former NBA great served in that capacity for a total of thirteen years.
