Cristiano Ronaldo Acquires Portugal’s Most Expensive Residence, Investing a Staggering Rs 173 Crore

Amid rumours of Cristiano Ronaldo’s return to Sporting Clube de Portugal, the football hero has reportedly purchased Portugal’s most expensive home in his native country. According to multiple publications, Ronaldo may quit Manchester United after the upcoming World Cup in Qatar and return to Sporting CP, the club where he began his professional career. This may have been one of the reasons he purchased a new property in Portugal.

According to Forbes, Ronaldo was the world’s third-highest-paid athlete in 2022, earning $60 million (approximately Rs 495 crore) on the pitch and $55 million (approximately Rs 453 crore) off it. According to Insider, Ronaldo has earned over $1 billion (approximately Rs 8,241 crore) over the course of his illustrious career. According to Insider, the star footballer owns several properties around the world, including a $9.7 million mansion (Rs 79 crore approx) in Madeira, a $1.8 million villa in Marbella on the Costa del Sol, and a $18.5 million apartment in Trump Tower, New York City.

His most recent acquisition, the most expensive home in Portugal, is located in Quinta da Marinha in Cascais, one of the most expensive residential areas in Europe. According to Sportskeeda, the three-story mansion, which is 40 kilometres from Lisbon, has an interior area of 2,720 square metres and an outdoor area of 544 square metres with plenty of open space and a large swimming pool. The south-facing location offers breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean and includes a lift and solar panels. The garage can fit up to twenty vehicles.

According to MARCA, the mansion is worth $11 million (approximately Rs 90 crore), but after the renovations it will be worth an astounding $21 million (approximately Rs 173 crore). According to Sportskeeda, Ronaldo’s wife Georgina Rodriguez and companion Paulo Brito are redesigning the villa. Brito has decorated Ronaldo’s other residences. From an exclusive Louis Vuitton mural to Italian marbles, the villa’s details are opulent.
