Discovering a completely new $25 million property in a coastal town in New Jersey, a locale beloved by Oprah Winfrey

Currently in the process of construction, a contemporary beachfront residence in Avalon, NJ is on the market for $25 million. Situated on the elevated dunes, this property spans three-quarters of an acre and boasts six bedrooms and eight bathrooms.

According to Jack Vizzard, the listing broker from Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Fox & Roach, the town of Avalon has transformed from a typical beach destination into something akin to Malibu on the West Coast or Naples on the East Coast, reminiscent of the Hamptons. This listing currently holds the title of the most expensive beachfront house on the market within the state. Vizzard adds that the property is intended for an executive or a public figure who highly values their privacy.

This 7,240-square-foot haven, positioned at 5499 Dune Drive, offers sweeping panoramic vistas from its wraparound deck on the third floor. Designed by architect Mark Asher and constructed by Seaside Development with interiors by Kiersten Marie, the finished details will encompass a home gym, sauna, lap pool, and a soaking pool.

Sited in the charming Jersey Shore town of Avalon, this in-progress residence is part of the Avalon and Stone Harbor communities, both located on Seven Mile Island in Cape May County. Recently, a pair of lots in Avalon were purchased for $21 million, contributing to the area’s status as the 82nd highest-priced ZIP code in the nation and the third most expensive ZIP code for home purchases in New Jersey.

Even TV icon Oprah Winfrey frequents the region during the summer, accompanied by her partner Stedman Graham, who originates from Cape May County. The appeal of Avalon lies in its more relaxed atmosphere compared to the Hamptons, featuring friendlier locals and an absence of the bustling energy found in New York City.

Oprah Winfrey is a devoted admirer of Avalon, and one of the six bedrooms in the residence provides a direct view of the ocean. The house also features a dining area with a fireplace and various other bedrooms, each contributing to the future charm of Dune Drive.
