Yeezy was prosperous two years ago. He PᴜгcҺаsed two Wyoming ranches, one of which was over 3,000 acres in size. He paid cash for a Malibu oceanfront mansion by Tadao Ando. During their bitter divorce, he paid $4.5 million for a property across the street from Kim Kardashian’s Hidden Hills home.

The Hidden Hills property was sold at a loss of six figures, while the Malibu estate was torn down and neglected. The sea air may have contributed to the decay of the once-glorious exhibit.

Hidden Hills never hosted West. He never demolished and reconstructed the structure on the property, contrary to rumors. A local developer PᴜгcҺаsed the property for $4.25 million, which is $250,000 less than what West paid for it 18 months prior.

Before reconstructing, West demolished the 4,000-square-foot Malibu residence. Before Adidas fired the 46-year-old artist for his antisemitic remarks, his finances were negatively affected. The Malibu home is a windowless, interiorless concrete container. Rusted metal house railings and trim may be irreparable.

According to the Wall Street Journal, West intended to PᴜгcҺаse a second, larger Tadao Ando-designed Malibu home, but his lucrative Adidas partnership fell through. Jay-Z and Beyoncé PᴜгcҺаsed the second Ando property for $190 million, a California record but less than the reported price of $200 million.

West is affluent, but his real estate worries are intensifying. The Daily Mail reported that at least one of his once-thriving Wyoming ranches has been abandoned and neglected since the proprietor moved to Los Angeles. West and his new wife Bianca Censori had stayed at the five-star Waldorf Astoria in Beverly Hills, where accommodations cost thousands of dollars per night.
