Grammy-Winning Hitmaker’s Stunning Manhattan Condo Returns to the Market: Don’t Miss Your Chance

Philip Lawrence, a Grammy-winning songwriter and record producer best known for his work with Bruno Mars, Adele, Flo Rida, Wiz Khalifa, and CeeLo Green, has relisted his Manhattan pied-a-terre at $7.35 million.

The asking price is almost a million dollars less than the $8.25 million asked when the designer-done spread first appeared for sale in early 2022 and $200,000-plus less than the close to $7.6 million tax records show the eight-time Grammy winner and his celebrity stylist/fashion designer wife, Urbana Chappa Lawrence, paid almost four years ago for the high-floor city-view condo.

The Lawrences’ nearly 3,100-square-foot corner apartment on the 38th floor of a sculptural glass tower with a limestone base was completely renovated by L.A.-turned-Palm Springs antiques dealer and designer Patrick Dragonette and his husband Charles Tucker.

Bespoke cabinetry, motorized window treatments in every room, and golden wall coverings in the foyer, hallway, and 32-foot-long combination living/dining room enhance the light from floor-to-ceiling windows. The separate high-end kitchen, with a large island, has Italian cabinetry with champagne glass panels, slab marble counters, and dark-stained walnut cabinetry.

The long hallway connects all four bedrooms. One guest or family bedroom has an astrological theme, while another has overscaled floral wallpaper. The tranquil, north-facing primary suite has a large bath with limestone-clad walls and a radiantly heated marble floor, as well as a fitted walk-in closet almost as large as the secondary bedrooms.

A home automation system, a camera-equipped security system, and a built-in safe for cash and other valuables are among the high-tech amenities.

In 2017, Atelier Christian de Portzamparc’s Riverline Center project’s 41-story sculptural glass tower was completed. A 75-foot indoor pool, state-of-the-art fitness and spa facilities, numerous lounges, a media room, a dining room with a demonstration/catering kitchen, on-site parking, and a 12,000-square-foot communal terrace are available to the mixed-use complex’s 246 residents.

Coldwell Banker Warburg listing agent Maria E. Daou declined comment.

The Lawrences’ Los Angeles home, a 13,000-square-foot mansion in Encino that they bought in late 2019 from retired professional baseball player Jimmy Rollins for almost $10.6 million, can comfort them as they face a loss on the sale of their Manhattan apartment.
