Lazzarini Design Unveils 137 Metre Superyacht Concept Inspired by Swans

Lazzarini Design has unveiled its most recent endeavour, a 137-meter superyacht inspired by swans.

Avanguardia was inspired by Japanese manga from the 1970s and features an extendable control structure in the shape of a swan’s head.

An extendable crane is used to relocate the control tower/bridge that is utilised to operate the yacht. The head can be completely detached from the catamaran and used as a 16-metre boat. During operation, the control tower cockpit can be descended into the yacht’s body, which resembles a swan.

Avanguardia can accommodate a total of 60 passengers across its five decks, as well as 24 guests, 10 crew, and 12 personnel. In addition, the yacht is equipped with two jet capsules in the stern, five tenders, including a distinct head tender, and two helicopters housed in two hangars.

Twin entirely electric side engines and a central MTU Rolls-Royce Jet engine provide propulsion for a maximum speed of 18 knots. Lazzarini estimates that the concept would require an investment of approximately $500,000,000.
