From Court to Castle: Spencer Dinwiddie’s $54M Mansion Gift for His Family

Despite his Dallas Mavericks being eliminated from the NBA playoffs after a painful Game 5 Western Conference Finals loss to the Golden State Warriors, Spencer Dinwiddie is still thriving off the court. The 6’5″ guard has a three-year, $54 mιllιon contract and recently concluded a $26 mιllιon investment round for his Los Angeles-based cryptocurrency firm, Calaxy.

Latest album? A new contemporary Craftsman-style residence in a gated enclave of 26 properties between Malibu and Calabasas. After being reduced to $7.2 mιllιon, a 29-year-old Los Angeles native bought it for $6.9 mιllιon.

Dinwiddie’s new estate is hidden behind a long, gated driveway on a 1.4-acre promontory. The dark beige and white-trimmed house was built in 2021 by “one of the most experienced and meticulous builders in Southern California” and has a motorcourt and a four-car garage.

Five bedrooms, seven baths, towering ceilings, red oak hardwood flooring, and Italian lighting fill 6,400 square feet. Multiple terraces and porches provide indoor-outdoor living and Santa Monica Mountain vistas.

A wooden front door with a gas lantern-lit stone-columned portico leads to an entryway with a winding wrought-iron staircase. The living area has a floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace, a wet bar with wine storage, and a wood-beam ceiling.

A formal dining room, cozy family room, and sleek gourmet kitchen with an eat-in island, butcher-block island, and Gaggeneau appliances are also included. The terrace has a fireplace and glass pocket doors.

The main level has an office/media room, and the 1,000-square-foot master suite has a fireplace, sitting area, balcony, walk-in closet, and luxury bathroom with twin vanities, a two-person shower, soaking tub, and makeup space. This floor has four further bedrooms with private bathrooms and a parlour.

The exclusive resort-like features include an infinity-edge pool and spa, an outdoor kitchen, a fire pit conversation area with stairs to a gazebo, and a spa. Also, a Crestron smart-home system.
