Long before the release of his debut studio album, 2018’s No. 1 Billboard chart-topper “Not All Heroes Wear Capes,” Metro Boomin was a hip-hop industry titan.

Born Leland Tyler Wayne in Missouri, the 28-year-old began producing beats in high school and utilized Twitter and other social media platforms to network with established hip-hop artists. In the past eight years, he has collaborated with prominent artists such as Gucci Mane and Future, both of whom he met online.

Since then, Metro has produced tunes for a variety of artists, including Kanye West, Nicki Minaj, Drake, and Lana Del Rey. Migos’ “Bad and Boujee” and Post Malone’s “Congratulations” are two of his most successful recordings to date.

“Bad and Boujee” was certified four times platinum and reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100, while “Congratulations” achieved the rare Diamond certification for 10 times platinum. And in 2020, the in-demand musician released the album “Savage Mode II” with 21 Savage, which debuted at number one on the Billboard 200.

Major success necessitates a major residential upgrading, so the serial hitmaker spent $4.9 million on a distinctly eccentric mansion. Located on the outskirts of Los Angeles within the guard-gated Bell Canyon community, in the farthest regions of the San Fernando Valley, the flat-roofed and somewhat squat-looking residence was recently completed and constructed on spec by a local contractor and his wife.

Set on more than an acre of hillside land, the residence is described in the listing as having “spectacular country and city views.” A long, winding concrete driveway leads to the spacious motorcourt in front of a four-car garage with tandem space.
