The Magnificent Mansion of Lizzo: A Boundless Display of Wealth and Creative Spirit
Lizzo paused her Auckland gig on Wednesday night to propose to two teary-eyed admirers.
On the last night of her Special Tour, which started in September 2022, the About Damn Time singer addressed her fans after seeing Aussie fan Michael Kay attempting to catch her attention.
Kay informed the singer, “I’m here from Perth, Australia,” when a team member gave him a microphone. “I’m here for your last show, baby.”
Kay joked that the fact that he and his long-distance boyfriend Bryn Monk were both Lizzo fans was a good reason to fly from Perth to Auckland for the concert.

Monk quietly emerged behind Kay before Kay displayed a ring when Lizzo questioned where he was.
Kay thanked Monk for being the greatest friend she ever had before proposing.

I love you Bryn—will you be my husband? Because everybody’s gay, we’re homosexual, and I love you and want you for life.”
Monk said a heartfelt “I do” before the audience cheered as a video of the couple was displayed on the performance screens.
Lizzo dedicated I Love You B… to the happy couple.
She informed the couple, “This song is dedicated to you two – this is your first dance,” as they danced in Spark Arena’s 12,000-person audience.
