Scott and Alex Pendlebury’s Exciting Renovation Project in Melbourne’s Bayside District

In Melbourne’s Bayside District, Scott and Alex Pendlebury have found their ideal renovation project—a charming home with a pool and tennis court. After a two-year search, the Collingwood champion, Scott, and his wife Alex, a nutritionist and presenter, purchased the property for an estimated sum of over $7 million.

Having sold their former self-constructed house in Elwood, the Pendleburys, along with their kids Darcy and Jax and their beloved Golden Retriever Lenni, have moved into their new home in the sought-after Bayside neighborhood.

Seeking a renovation project rather than a new build, Alex expressed their preference for an older home with solid structural foundations. The newly acquired five-bedroom house features a split-level formal lounge room, a dining area, a games room by the pool with a wet bar, and other appealing features.

The Pendleburys plan to live in the house for about six months before commencing their restoration plans. They intend to modernize the interior while preserving the structural integrity of the property, which was built before 1985 and had been abandoned for five years before their purchase.

Despite not knowing the property’s history, they were thrilled to save it from potential demolition. The larger backyard excites their younger child, Jax, who looks forward to having more space to play, while Scott is eager to add a basketball hoop.

Joel Fredman of Fredman Property Group, along with Nick Sinclair and Paul Bond from Hodges Sandringham, handled the listing and sale of the Pendleburys’ previous Elwood house, which was sold for $6.5 million.

With their passion for renovating and their love for the new house’s surroundings, the Pendleburys are excited about the tremendous potential that lies ahead for their latest project.
