Big Sean’s Castle: A Glimpse into the Lavish Lifestyle of the Rapper Extraordinaire
Big Sean found a new home two months after selling his $11 miℓℓio𝚗 Mulholland Estates gated community home. The Grammy-nominated rapper, born Sean Anderson, paid $8.1 miℓℓio𝚗 for a smaller French Normandy-style estate in a guard-gated Encino enclave.
Built in 2005, the property was extensively restored around four years ago; originally offered back in May for $10 miℓℓio𝚗, it ultimately sold to Anderson at a roughly $2 miℓℓio𝚗 reduction.
Sited on almost a half-acre of land in a gated community with 18 equally large mansions — none of them owned by celebs — the house is primed for large-scale entertaining.
Stone-clad and faintly suggestive of a European chateau, the place is fronted by a brick motorcourt and adjacent three-car garage. Inside, a soaring entryway expands into more than 10,000 square feet of living space on three floors, with six bedrooms and nine bathrooms.
Big Sean will pay $850 per month in HOA dues, property taxes, maintenance, and mortgage payments for that splendor.
Standing out on the main level is a sleek gourmet kitchen boasting not one but two massive islands, alongside Wolf and Viking appliances. An adjacent breakfast nook extends via French doors to an outdoor loggia complete with a built-in BBQ.
Back inside, a formal living room features dome skylights and a full library wall, while a casual family room has a wood-burning fireplace and retractable oversized glass doors that lead to a covered, wood-lined patio with fireplace. There’s also a formal dining room.
A winding staircase leads to a luxurious master retreat with a fireplace, private terrace, and walk-in closet. A spa-like bathroom has two vanities, a huge glass-enclosed shower, and a freestanding soaking tub in an alcove. This floor has a sauna, massage room, and spa.
Specifically geared toward relaxing and entertaining, the basement is highlighted by a mirrored gym, plush movie theater, 1,000-bottle wine cellar and game room with wet bar.
Additional amenities can be found in the grassy backyard, where an air-conditioned pool house flanks a pool and spa with a Baja shelf. Finished with a Crestron home automation system that controls lights, climate, music, alarms, and more.
