U-Boat Worx has christened its newest vessel the Under Water Entertainment Platform, or UWEP for short, but we prefer to refer to it as the party sub.
The first of its class, the singular submarine measures 115 feet from bow to stern and can submerge approximately 650 feet below the surface of the water. The Dutch company, which specialises in both private and commercial submersibles, asserts that the vessel has been designed to hold the “world’s most prestigious and memorable events.” In order to facilitate a variety of deep-sea gatherings, it can be outfitted with a variety of amenities.
The interior is over 1,600 square feet and can accommodate 120 passengers and crew. The proprietor (or operator) can configure the multipurpose space to include, for example, a 64-seat restaurant, an underwater gym, or an underwater casino. Obviously, luxurious restrooms and a spacious galley are standard.
The party sub could also serve as a location for nuptials, exhibitions, presentations, and similar events. Consider it a miniature cruise ship that can transport you and your group beneath the waters. Oh, and the cabin is entirely pressurised, so there will be no need for decompression following your underwater excursion.
The UWEP is outfitted with 14 large windows that provide an ideal view of the deep ocean and its abundant marine life. In addition, it is outfitted with a series of exterior lights that illuminate the surroundings and lend a bit of flair to nighttime dives.
The party must also never cease. The battery-powered, completely autonomous UWEP can operate continuously for 24 hours. The submarine can be refuelled and replenished in a port or floating dock between voyages.
