Located on a hill within the Palm Springs resort area in California, USA, this unique house exudes the essence of Santorini, Greece.
Designed with 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, the house was constructed in 1977 by architect William Nicholson, utilizing mainly steel frames and concrete.
Later on, Dan Valentino, a local real estate broker and freelance designer, recognized the potential for remodeling the house. Therefore, he conceptualized the idea of incorporating the Santorini style into the design.
During the 18-month renovation process, Valentino revitalized the closets, repositioned the staircase, added windows, and refurbished the swimming pool.
The result is a brighter and more airy 278-square-meter house. Moreover, the architect successfully balanced the excess of white and beige hues in the house, creating overall harmony.
The living room features French-style doors made of wood, providing direct access to the pool area and the courtyard. The dining area and kitchen employ recycled wood materials and standout blue and white tiles imported from Greece.
In the master bedroom, the wardrobe doors double as mirrors. To enhance coziness, a fireplace was installed.
Other amenities in the house include a fire suppression system, various recreational spaces, and a rooftop offering panoramic views of the surroundings. The house is currently listed on the market for $2.9 million UՏD.
