The images of the most expensive mansion in the United States
About 10 years ago, prominent mansion developer Nile Niami embarked on constructing the “most expensive house in the world.” What he envisioned was “The One,” a remarkable estate spanning nearly 10,000 square meters, situated on a 5-acre plot of land in Bel-Air, offering panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. The rumored price of this super-mansion is $340 million dollars.
Designed by architect Paul McClean and interior designer Kathryn Rotondi, the Bel Air Spec Manor is intended to become the third-largest residence in the United States, situated between the Oheka Castle in New York (109,000 square feet) and Winterthur in Delaware (96,000 square feet).
While the sheer size is impressive, the list of amenities is truly something else (grab a snack; we’ll be here for a while), including 42 bathrooms, 21 bedrooms, a grand total of 5,500 square feet, a 30-car garage with two car-turntables, a helicopter pad, a 400-foot jogging track, a 360-degree view of L.A., 26-foot high ceilings, a four-lane bowling alley, a spa floor, a movie theater, a 200-seat “winged charity” room for charitable events with floating pods overlooking Los Angeles, a 10,000-square-foot rooftop deck with a golf hole, five swimming pools, a juice bar, a cigar lounge, a tequila bar, a hair salon, and an art gallery featuring custom-curated artwork by Creative Art Partners.
