Trevor Noah spent $27.5 million on an ostentatious Bel Air mansion less than a year ago, just months after selling another nearby Bel Air home to Bird founder Travis VanderZanden for approximately $22 million.
Now, the South African comedian and Emmy-winning host of “The Daily Show” — who also possesses a $10 million penthouse in the Manhattan borough of New York City — has decided to clean house in California by reselling his recently acquired residence.
The contemporary Bel Air structure, designed by architect Mark Rios as a personal residence for Noah and his fertility doctor spouse Guy Ringler, is listed for $29.75 million. The rear of the six-bedroom, nine-and-a-half-bathroom residence, which is composed of floor-to-ceiling glass walls with ocean and mountain views, is comprised of three white cubes without windows.
A Japanese-style spa beneath the pool features a wooden tub, sauna, and massage and changing rooms, while a wine room has a hidden entrance that leads to a glass lift that transports guests to a gourmet kitchen with dark wood cabinetry. In addition to the library, there is a gym, club room, and rooftop terrace that functions as a screening room.
Other highlights of the three-story home include a living room with German oak flooring that opens to an outdoor bar and kitchen with a terrace; and a formal dining room adjacent to a conservatory.
A luxurious master suite features dual bathrooms and walk-in closets, and four additional guest suites are located elsewhere in the residence. The verdant, manicured grounds include a 15-by-60-foot infinity-edge pool, a fireside conversation pit, and the previously mentioned outdoor kitchen.
Since 2015, Noah, 37, has been the host of “The Daily Show” on Comedy Central. He signed a contract extension in 2017 that will keep him in the host’s chair until 2022. According to the New York Post, Noah has rented yet another NYC penthouse, this time in Tribeca’s opulent 70 Vestry building for $52,000 per month.
