The Ultimate Baller’s Paradise: Inside Dennis Schroder’s $4.3 Million Tarzana Mansion

After tenure with the Atlanta Hawks and Oklahoma Thunder, the German basketball superstar Dennis Schroder was traded to the Los Angeles Lakers in November of last year. Records indicate the 27-year-old native of Braunschweig, who is currently negotiating a contract extension worth tens of millions of dollars, and his wife Ellen Ziolo have purchased a $4.3 million mansion in the San Fernando Valley.

The sexy modern estate is located in Tarzana on a long, narrow lot behind intimidating black walls and gates. The 2017-built home features an open floor plan with the dining, living, and family spaces merged into one large room. The listing describes the chef’s kitchen as “spectacular,” boasting an enormous SubZero refrigerator, custom cabinetry, and imported stone. There is also a double-sided black marble fireplace. Two sets of Fleetwood doors lead to a loggia with a fireplace, complete kitchen, and barbecue.

Six bedrooms with en suite bathrooms are dispersed throughout the main house, including an upper-level master suite with dual private balconies, dual dressing rooms and a resort-style bathroom with exotic wood and stone. Other impressive home features include a home theatre with seating for ten people, an office, and a glass-walled wine cellar hidden beneath the sweeping main staircase. A vast rooftop terrace with its own barbecue, spotlights, and views over the treetops of the pancake-flat San Fernando Valley is perhaps the most unusual feature.

The 0.35-acre property is entirely developed with an L-shaped lawn that passes by a large pool and spa. Beyond that is a two-story guesthouse with an additional ensuite bedroom, a second kitchen, and space for a fitness centre. Best of all, from Shroder’s perspective, is the concrete basketball court in the far back of the property, which provides a secluded area for him to practise his professional game.
