Mark Wahlberg has reduced the asking price of his Beverly Hills, California, mansion by $8 million, to $79.5 million
A price reduction of $8 million brings the total asking price of Mark Wahlberg’s megamansion in Beverly Hills, California, which spans more than 30,000 square feet, down to $79.5 million.
The house was first put up for sale in April with an asking price of $87.5 million. It is located in North Beverly Park, which is described as “the most exclusive gated community on the West Coast,” according to the ad that was created by Carl Gambino of Compass and Kurt Rappaport of Westside Estate Agency, Inc.
The residence, designed by Richard Landry, is over 30,000 square feet in size
The listing described the property as “basically functioning as your very own private country club.” It had been pulled off the market the previous month, but on Tuesday it was put back up for sale at the increased price. A request for a response was sent to Mr. Cambino and Mr. Rappaport, but they did not respond right away.

According to the data kept by PropertyShark, Mr. Wahlberg, who is now 51 years old, and his wife, Rhea Durham, who is now 44 years old, purchased the property in 2009, the same year they got married, for around $8.25 million. The couple currently resides in an enormous home that was created by Richard Landry, an architect who is regarded as the “King of the Megamansion.” This house was built for the couple to accommodate their four children.

Photos included with the offering reveal that in addition to having 12 bedrooms and 20 bathrooms, the home also has a double-height lobby with a wrought-iron imperial staircase, formal living and dining rooms, an eat-in kitchen with two islands, a light-filled breakfast nook, and a family room. French doors, fireplaces, statement lighting, and arched door frames are some of the design characteristics that can be seen throughout.

In addition, there is a library with wood-paneled walls, a home theater, a wet bar, a wine cellar with a tasting room, and a primary bedroom suite with a sitting area, two bathrooms, and two dressing rooms. All of these features can be found in the mansion.

Mr. Wahlberg, whose acting credits include “The Fighter,” “The Departed,” and “Father Stu,” was able to get after his workouts as a member of the 4 a.m. club, which is an affiliation of early risers who lift weights. This was made possible by a professional-style gym.
There are 12 bedrooms
According to the description, the estate is equipped with a variety of different sporting facilities, such as a five-hole golf course, a court that can be used for either basketball or tennis, a grotto pool, and a skate park. The home is encircled by carefully manicured grass.
