Osimhen began his career at Ultimate Strikers Academy in Nigeria before joining Wolfsburg in 2017. In 2019–20, he scored 18 goals in Ligue 1 and was crowned the league’s Young Player of the Year while on loan with Charleroi and Lille.

In July 2020, Napoli signed Osimhen for a reported €70 million, making him the most expensive African player ever. He has scored goals and helped Napoli reach the UEFA Champions League quarterfinals since then.

Osimhen plays for Nigeria since 2017. In a September 2019 friendly against Ukraine, he scored his first Nigerian goal. In November 2020, he scored a triple tгiϲk for his country in a 4-4 draw against Sierra Leone.
