Check Out The First Gunboat 80 spotted on sea trials in France

The first unit of the flagship Gunboat 80 series, now known as Highland Fling XVIII, has begun sea trials near Gunboat’s construction facility in La Grande-Motte.

Her racing crew accompanied the yacht during the trials to evaluate her performance.

The 24.7-metre catamaran, commissioned by an experienced yachtsman and ardent sailor, is optimized for racing with a competitive, ultra-lightweight prepreg carbon fibre structure and honeycomb Nomex core. Additionally, the mast is moved forwards to enhance the sail plan.
