L.A. Galaxy’s Chicharito Sells Stunning Modern Farmhouse in Beverlywood

After two years of ownership, Javier “Chicharito” Hernandez quietly sold his trendy modern farmhouse-style mansion in Los Angeles. A non-famous married couple paid $6.8 million for the home, giving Hernández $1 million more than he paid in May 2020.

The charcoal-colored house was built in 2019 on a quarter-acre lot in Beverlywood, south of Beverly Hills and next to Cheviot Hills. It has an attached two-car garage, grassy yard, and small porch. Six bedrooms and seven baths are spread across 6,200 square feet of living space on two levels with creamy neutral interiors and limestone and wide-plank hardwood floors.

A fireplace and large formal dining room are highlights. A “kosher chef’s kitchen” with high-end stainless appliances, an eat-in quartzite waterfall-edge island, pantry, and breakfast area opens to an al fresco dining terrace. A spacious family room has a custom built-in entertainment center spanning an entire wall and Fleetwood sliding glass doors to the backyard.

Upstairs, the large master suite has a vaulted ceiling, sitting area, black marble fireplace, private balcony, walk-in closet, and marble-clad bath. Outside, the grounds have a pool and spa, a poolhouse with a trellis and fireplace, and a private lounge area with a fire pit off the living room.

Hernández, now in his 30s, started playing professional soccer at 18 with C.D. Guadalajara and then Manchester United. He was loaned to Real Madrid before joining Bayer Leverkusen, West Ham United, and Sevilla. He plays striker for the L.A. Galaxy and wants to play for Mexico again.
