As the Manchester City star approaches a transfer to Chelsea, Raheem Sterling is in discussions to sell his £3.1 мillion Cheshire property to Trent Alexander-Arnold of Liverpool.
The winger has explored relocation options with fellow countryman Alexander-Arnold, who seeks to leave his current residence in south Manchester. He currently resides on the same street as Paul Pogba’s former Manchester United teammate Alisson Becker.
Sterling, however, reportedly aims to sell his Cheshire mansion for approximately £4.5 мillion, yielding a handsome profit of £1.4 мillion after acquiring the property back in 2017. The 27-year-old lives there with his fiancée, Paige Milian, a real estate entrepreneur, and their two young sons.
The home, near Crewe, boasts five luxurious bedrooms and walls adorned in a contemporary grey color scheme. It features a wildlife pond in the nearby marshland, a matte black staircase in the corridor, and a grand piano upon entering the front entrance.
The couple has added a white marble top and glossy cabinets to their kitchen, complementing the stone flooring. Chic red seats accompany the sizable island. Sterling’s lounge is incredibly comfortable, featuring grey furniture covered in soft velvet, a popular interior design choice for Premier League sportsmen in the living room of his beautiful home.
There are also two bathrooms, one with a royal-themed color scheme of indigo and strong shower jets integrated into the wall, along with a custom-designed bath. The other bathroom is more modern, with ivory wooden wall panels and a state-of-the-art Jacuzzi placed in the middle of the space.
If the deal goes through in the upcoming weeks, it may pave the way for Sterling’s departure from Etihad this summer while negotiations with Chelsea continue. The £45 мillion transfer of the England international to Thomas Tuchel’s team has been heavily rumored as Todd Boehly aims to make a statement signing with his first piece of transfer business.
Additionally, it is believed that the two teams are in advanced negotiations, and a deal is about to be signed. Before his projected move to Stamford Bridge after seven years with Manchester United, Sterling has been talking to his England teammates who play for Chelsea about living in London.
While Sterling appeared for City 44 times last season, scoring 17 goals, many of those instances were as a substitute. As his career nears its peak, the attacker wants to start more games. Due to his contract expiring in 2023, Sterling is gearing up for a new beginning after being excluded from the semi-final matches against Real Madrid last year.
Since bitterly leaving Liverpool for City in a £50 мillion deal in 2015, Sterling has enjoyed great success there. Throughout those seven years, Sterling has become one of the team’s most decorated players after winning four Premier League championships, four League Cups, and an FA Cup.
Yet, it now seems the 77-cap England player will likely return to the English city where he spent his formative years before leaving QPR for Liverpool.
