Magic and Earlitha “Cookie” Johnson recently concluded an extravagant six-week yacht holiday aboard the Phoenix 2 superyacht, where they were surrounded by the presence of various celebrities, friends, and family members.
Embarking on a Mediterranean voyage, the NBA legend’s journey began in Antibes, France, spanning several Italian towns, the Corinth Canal, Mykonos, Oia, Kefalonia, Kalami, and Santorini, as well as stops in Montenegro and Dubrovnik, Croatia. Notable destinations in Italy included Positano, Nerano, Sicily, and Capriccioli.
Throughout his travels, Johnson immersed himself in luxury, visiting renowned establishments such as Taormina’s San Domenico Palace and Sicily’s Four Seasons, both featured in The White Lotus. Although not lodging at the hotel, he dined at the poolside restaurant, indulging in a $33 salad and a $22 cannoli, with the property’s nightly rates starting at $1,700.
Opting for оpulent accommodations, Johnson rented the Phoenix 2 yacht, with an estimated cost of $7,530,000 for the six-week sojourn. The seven-cabin superyacht, equipped with a crew of 29, can accommodate up to twelve guests. The main cabin features a two-story apartment with a private balcony, jacuzzi, and panoramic ocean views. A central elevator connects three levels, with rooms adaptable to family needs.
Onboard amenities include three pооls, indoor and outdoor theaters, a jacuzzi, gym, piano room, bar, salon, and wellness center for guests to enjoy.
Evenings aboard the yacht were filled with entertainment, including a surprise masquerade party and a “Greek god and goddess extravaganza” in Greece. Johnson shared the festivities on Instagram, expressing gratitude for the fun-filled experiences.
Notable companions during the voyage included Judge Matthis, Michael Jordan, and Samuel L. Jackson. Johnson shared highlights of their dining experiences, including a meal at the lemon tree restaurant in Capri, Italy, surrounded by friends and family.
The Johnson family joined Magic in Italy, with a total of 18 guests partaking in the voyage. Magic expressed plans to potentially repeat the experience in 2024, continuing the trend from previous years.
