After an extended summer break, Magic Johnson and his wife, “Cookie” Johnson, took a week off for some quality bonding time.

The 64-year-old former model and the 63-year-old former NBA star had a delightful evening at the Nautika Restaurant in Dubrovnik, Croatia, as Magic shared on social media. Instagram pictures captured Magic and his spouse enjoying a carousel ride with the caption, “The view was breathtaking, and the cuisine was outstanding.”

Magic highlighted that the Nautika Restaurant, situated “right behind” Fort Lovrijenac, known for Game of Thrones filming, provided “exceptional” dining experiences.

However, Magic had to curtail his vacation when news surfaced that he, along with others, including Josh Harris, the co-founder of Apollo Global Management, had acquired the Wɑshington Commanders. The deal, greenlit by all 32 NFL owners on July 20th, amounted to $6 Ƅillion, securing ownership of the franchise for the group, according to the Wall Street Journal.

In an emotional interview with Today host Craig Melvin on July 21, Magic expressed his dedication to shattering barriers as a proud Black individual. Tearfully, he expressed, “It’s important to me to break through these doors and break these boundaries as a proud Black guy.” Continuing, he emphasized, “I’m going to excel, not only for myself but for my family and for all African Americans, ensuring we can see [ourselves] in these seats. I don’t know why God gave me these opportunities. And I want everyone to know that this project can be completed.
