Rafa Nadal’s magnificent 75-foot yacht ‘Beethoven’: a harmony on the open waters

In 2016, Nadal purchased the MCY 76 yacht for £2.6 million and was seen enjoying it in Ibiza after a Wimbledon loss. Now, he’s selling it through Camper and Nicholsons. Nadal, worth around £28 million, values the yacht for privacy, saying it provides an escape. Choosing the MCY 76 at the Cannes Boat Show in 2013, he desired a larger, sleeker, and more modern design than his previous Princess V62. Beethoven, the yacht, features a deep Mediterranean-blue hull, a four-stateroom layout, and plenty of retractable TVs. Despite no plans revealed for after the sale, it’s unlikely he’ll upgrade to a larger yacht due to port limitations. Nadal expresses his love for being at sea, contemplating spending more time on board in the future. While he criticized Wimbledon officials for his seeding, he admits to not being in control of the yacht and needing a captain due to his busy schedule. The reason for selling is unclear, but reports suggest he might be considering an upgrade.
