Recent reports suggest that Nigerian energy magnate Kola Aluko owns the £50 million (€65 million, $73 million) luxury yacht Galactica Star, chartered by Jay Z and Beyoncé. The 65-meter yacht, with innovative fuel-efficient construction, accommodates 12 people and features a “beach club” with a helipad. Rumored to be available for exclusive charter at $900,000 a week (£580,000), acquaintance with the owner is a prerequisite. Designed by Bannenberg and Rowell, the yacht received a Neptune Trophy in 2014.

The Galactica Star, measuring 213 feet (65 meters) in length and 37 feet (11.3 meters) in width, boasts contemporary design both inside and out. Equipped for warm climates, it accommodates a helicopter, sleeps 12, and offers various seating areas across multiple levels. Despite its weight of around 560 tons (50% load), the yacht can travel at 28 knots. Featuring a top deck with a Jacuzzi, bar, seating area, and viewing platform, the Galactica Star is attractively designed with contemporary touches. The control room, with large touch-screen displays, allows the yacht to cover over 4,500 nautical miles on a single tank of fuel. Priced at £50 million (€65 million, $73 million), the Galactica Star rivals the cost of a large mansion.
