Inside Sugar Ray Leonard’s Los Angeles Mansion: A Glimpse into the Luxurious Residence of the Boxing Legend

Boxer Sugar Ray Leonard has just chopped the price of his Los Angeles mansion.

Sugar Ray Leonard, a famous boxer, recently reduced the asking price of his ivy-covered, Tuscan-style Los Angeles mansion by $4 million, bringing it down to just under $40 million.

The eight-bedroom villa in the city’s Pacific Palisades neighbourhood was initially listed for $51.995 million in 2019 by the six-time world champion and Olympic gold medalist and his wife, Bernadette Robi. Listing records show that the price has been reduced multiple times since then.

“Rarely does one come across a home on such a plot of land in such an A-plus location, let alone one with such a celebrity history,” he remarked.

The expansive property, which dates back to the 1950s, was purchased by the couple in 1993. They had architect Richard Landry, dubbed the “king of the megamansion” for his work on the project, rebuild it in the late 1990s in the style of Old World Italian with imported stone and custom timber elements. They are planning to downsize now that their children have grown up and left the nest.

A solarium, a two-story galleried family room, and a cloistered living room are among the features of this Italianate manse, which spans nearly 17,000 square feet and features beamed ceilings, stone columns, and stately fireplaces. The kitchen features professional-grade appliances, two islands, and a large pantry.

According to the listing, there are additional rooms such as a screening room, playroom, game room, and wine cellar.

There is a pool, a two-story guest house, a lit tennis court with a viewing area, and a putting green on the nearly two acres of property that the house occupies in the upper Riviera enclave of Pacific Palisades.

There are eight bedrooms.

The boxer’s representative did not immediately return a request for comment. He is widely considered one of the greatest of all time.
