Rowan Atkinson is best remembered for his role as Mr Bean, but the renowned actor also has an impressive vehicle collection.
Atkinson is a self-professed petrolhead who owns a £400k Rolls Royce and a Bentley with a built-in TV.
There are some of his best supercars.
1997 McLaren F1
One of the most iconic supercars ever constructed is housed in Atkinson’s garage. The 1997 McLaren F1 is a high-powered, ultra-styled car with every conceivable function and powered by BMW Motorsports. It is the most costly vehicle in his collection, valued at £9.9M ($12M).
2014 Bentley Mulsanne Birkin
Sir Henry “Tiger Tim” Birkin, the famed Bentley Boy who tore up the roads and contests throughout Europe in the 1920s and 1930s, inspired this ultra-rare Bentley. The excellently designed vehicle features dual 8-inch LCD screens fitted in the back seat headrests, as well as a substantially upgraded audio system. The unique edition supercar, which was limited to only 22 units, is thought to have cost Atkinson between £227,000 and £302,000.
Rolls Royce Ghost
The exquisite Rolls Royce Ghost, which costs roughly £415,000, is both smooth and fluid. Without hesitation, Atkinson splurged on this car, adding yet another superbly constructed machine to his stable of superior autos. The actor’s Ghost is driven by a 563 horsepower 6.7-liter V-12 engine that purrs powerfully and easily.
1986 Aston Martin V8 Zagato
The Aston Martin, which costs roughly £555,000, is an outstanding feat of engineering. This Italian-made marvel is propelled by a 5.3-liter V8 engine capable of reaching 185 mph. Atkinson, one of the lucky few who owns this collector’s car, was even compelled to rebuild it after a bad crash. The beloved property was destroyed in a crash during one of Rowan’s circuit racing events, leaving him sad. He ended up spending about £250,000 rebuilding the engine simply to re-add it to his auto collection.
BMW 328 Roadster
This pure classic is a distinctive car that adds a lot of personality to Atkinson’s impressive car collection. The ultra-rare engine was built between 1936 and 1940 and comes with a standard four-speed manual transmission. Because the car is so rare, analysts believe Atkinson keeps it in storage for special occasions. It is priced just under £1 million.
