Beyoncé and Jay-Z joined the elite group of celebrities who possess private jets in 2012. Tom Cruise, John Travolta, Oprah Winfrey, and Kim Kardashian are among members of this exclusive club. 

Private planes cost millions of dollars, but the celebrity couple can afford them because to their combined income of over $1.8 billion. Forbes assessed Beyoncé’s net worth at roughly $440 million, while Jay-Z has a purported net worth of $1.4 billion, according to Cosmopolitan. 

The rapper’s name is emblazoned on Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s private jet. 

Bombardier Aerospace manufactures the Bombardier Challenger 850, which Jay-Z and Beyoncé own. The $40 million airplane contains a kitchen, bedroom, two bathrooms, and a living space for up to 19 passengers.

The plane’s kitchen is fully stocked and has a bar, and each of the plane’s two full bathrooms has a bathtub. The bedroom features a king-sized bed with additional padding around the sides for added comfort and safety. The living room features a huge flat-screen TV with WiFi, allowing the musical pair to view any show or movie they want while on board. 

The plane’s flooring is black with white dots, and the soft leather seats may be changed to suit the purpose of the trip and the number of passengers. 

The exterior of the plane features a massive Puma decal and another personal touch: the monogram S. Carter for Jay-Z’s true name, Shawn Carter. 

The private jet is 48.4 feet in length, 8.2 feet in width, and 6.1 feet in height. It has a top speed of over 520 mph.

Despite having a bigger net worth than Beyoncé, the “Crazy in Love” singer acquired the private plane. Not only that, but she purchased it as a present for her rapper husband. Jay-Z received the plane from Beyoncé to commemorate a special occasion: his first Father’s Day. She purchased the plane for him in 2012, following the birth of their first child, Blue Ivy Carter, in January of that year. Surprisingly, that wasn’t the singer’s most lavish Father’s Day gift to her spouse. On June 13, 2017, Beyoncé and Jay-Z welcomed twins… only a few days before Father’s Day.
