Rick Ross spent $37 million on a waterfront mansion on Miami’s Star Island: 12,400 square feet, six bedrooms, and more

Rick Ross’ new property sits on the island’s east side, with a waterfront backyard that overlooks Miami Beach. Gloria and Emilio Estefan live next door to him. According to property records, Oracle executive Yale-Brown formerly owned the residence. He bought the property in 1999 for $4.6 million and sold it to Ross two months later for $37 million.

On a little less than an acre lot, the house has nearly 9,700 internal square feet. The house has 12,400 square feet, including patio areas. The backyard has 100 feet of gorgeous sea frontage and a 40-foot boat dock. When guests arrive at the gated entry, they are met with a canopy of palm palms and the art deco façade of the mansion, which is reminiscent of Miami Beach’s peak in the early 1990s.

The mansion has six bedrooms, eight and a half baths, and an office. The 30-foot foyer and formal living with a waterscape atrium are among the beautiful architectural aspects. While the decor is high-quality, the area does have a sort of cold/corporate atmosphere that we believe Ross will address once the space closes in the coming weeks. He has already stated that he intends to make major changes to the room, which will reflect his enormous personality.

With a big pool, jacuzzi, several sunbathing places, an outdoor kitchen, and outdoor living spaces on multiple levels, the backyard provides a comprehensive outdoor living experience.

The open-concept kitchen boasts plenty of counter space as well as commercial-grade gourmet appliances. Cooking for a large group will be a breeze, and there will be plenty of space for large dinner parties. I expect the kitchen and dining area to be among the first to be rebuilt because the current decor needs an update with some extra flash suited for an artist of Rick Ross’s caliber, but the alternatives are limitless.

The game area is suitable for all types of events after supper and into the late hours. There is a wet bar, a lounge area, a poker table, and a pool table, all of which overlook the bay and pool area. It’ll be interesting to follow Rick on Instagram to see what they get up to with this area once it’s been redesigned.

There are 6 spacious bedrooms with nicely fitted bathrooms at the end of the night, many with extensive balconies to enjoy the sea breeze discretely before turning in or in the morning with a cup of coffee. The master bath is extraordinarily big, with a dual vanity, marble-adorned infinity tub, and separate shower, as well as natural light flowing in through the windows and reflecting on the mirrored and marble ceiling, giving the space a futuristic Scarface vibe.
