The LA Lakers star has a number of exquisite residences.
Now officially the highest-paid player in the NBA, LeBron James made history last year when he allegedly inked a two-year, $97.1 million contract deal with the Los Angeles Lakers, making him the league’s all-time top scorer.
Since the prominent athlete is regarded by many as one of the best players in NBA history, it is not shocking that he is making a hefty salary. LeBron has invested a portion of his wealth in real estate over the years, and he and his family—wife Savannah James and their three children—have amassed an impressive property portfolio valued at $103.9 million. Here are a few of his incredible residences, both past and present.
Within LeBron James’ real estate holdings
The Beverly Hills house of LeBron James
LeBron’s most recent real estate purchase was a vast 13,000-square-foot Beverly Hills mansion he purchased for $36.8 million in 2020. The property is composed of at least four buildings. Katharine Hepburn was the previous owner of the house before LeBron purchased it from them. Bill and Lee Phillip Bell were co-creators of the serial operas The Young and the Restless and The Bold and the Beautiful.
The 2.5-acre Mediterranean-style house from the 1930s offers breathtaking vistas of Los Angeles. Along with four bedrooms, eight bathrooms, high ceilings, a screening room, seven fireplaces, and full walls of glass sliders for the best possible indoor-outdoor flow, it also includes a sizable motor court for his numerous cars.
A big swimming pool, two detached guest homes, a pool house with two baths, and a tennis court with lighting are all located outside.
LeBron James’s Mansion in Brentwood
In Brentwood, a LA suburb, LeBron has two residences. One that he purchased in 2017 for $24.5 million looks to be his primary home and is frequently showcased on his Instagram account. Since the house was constructed in the same year, practically every room has marble flooring, giving it a modern feel.
It includes eight bedrooms and eleven baths spread across slightly less than 16,000 square feet. Thanks to floor to ceiling windows, this property, like his Beverly Hills residence, offers an indoor-outdoor flow between the main living areas and the large garden. Full sliding glass doors are also featured in one of the major living rooms.
The mansion has a ton of upscale features, such a fully equipped gym that is located half inside and half outdoors, a wine cellar, a game room with a pool table, a home theater, and a cigar room with air-purifying technology.
There is a spa with a steam room, shower, sauna, and massage room that is directly connected to the gym. Even an elevator allows you to access the rooftop patio, which offers amazing views.
LeBron’s house naturally has a basketball court.
Adjacent to the outdoor kitchen featuring a grill and a beer tap are an expansive pool and a second spa. There’s a big dining table and marble-floored covered patios.
The second Brentwood house of LeBron James
In 2015, LeBron paid $21 million for a 9,440-square-foot colonial estate located in the Brentwood neighborhood. The six-bedroom, seven-bathroom stone and white brick house was supposedly unoccupied for the majority of its existence.
There’s a state-of-the-art kitchen, a wood-paneled office, a home gym, and a double-height entrance with windows lining the breakfast nook.
The master suite includes a patio, a private sitting room, and a two-way fireplace. There’s a three-car garage, an open-air cabana, a basketball court, and another amazing swimming pool outdoors.
In 2021, LeBron sold the mansion for $19.6 million, less than the $20.5 million he had initially asked for.
LeBron James’ house in Ohio
LeBron made his first significant real estate purchase in 2003, following his signing with the Cleveland Cavaliers. At a cost of $2.1 million, he bought a seven-acre site in Bath Township, northwest of Akron, on which he later constructed a 30,000-square-foot residence.
The expansive residence comprises six bedrooms, including a two-story walk-in closet in the master suite, eight full bathrooms, and six half bathrooms. A home theater, a sports bar, a two-lane bowling alley, and even a recording studio, an aquarium, and a barbershop are available for entertainment.
LeBron still owns the house even though he switched teams, but thanks to his massive renovations, it is currently estimated to be worth about $9.2 million.
LeBron James’ Miami home
After joining the Miami Heat in 2010, LeBron spent $9 million on a custom-built three-story mansion in Coconut Grove, Florida. He had previously played for the Cavaliers.
Despite enjoying his Miami condo while he owned it—a private waterside balcony off the main suite, an eight-seat home cinema, a wine cellar, and a backyard pool area—he sold it for $13.4 million in 2015.
