Dynamiq Unveils Exciting Global 550 Explorer Concept Ahead of Monaco Yacht Show

Italian shipyard Dynamiq Yachts has revealed designs for a futuristic 55-metre “eco-explorer” advance of its official presentation at the Monaco Yacht Show.

The Global 550 superyacht was designed in collaboration with Dobroserdov Design and Vripack to be an ultra-efficient, world-cruising vessel. With large 21,000-litre fresh water tanks for increased autonomy, a vessel made entirely of aluminium and powered by 625kw Volva Penta engines will have a range in excess of 5,000 nautical miles.

The ability to appreciate the surrounding environment is central to the design, with panoramic lounges on every deck – the highest being a crow’s nest for the most expansive views. In addition, there is a commercially certified helipad for excursions to shore and a spa for those who wish to relax after a day of exploration.

For the interior, the shipyard collaborated with ZROBIM architects, marking the studio’s debut in the maritime industry. The design is influenced by the concept of “natural minimalism” in which natural elements such as American oak, wenge, and dark Shimo ash are incorporated throughout.

According to the studio, elements of the interior were also directly influenced by untamed environments. It is said that illuminated Golden Queen onyx washbasins resemble a glacier, whereas textured stones such as Arabescato Orobico Grigio and Spider green marbles resemble distant mountain ranges.

Four stabiliser fins, as opposed to the standard two, increase ocean crossing comfort.

The asking price for the Global 550 is €27,900,000, with an expected 30-month build time from contract signing.
