Heesen, renowned for its success in the speculation, aluminum, and steel yacht market, has now ventured into new territory with the introduction of the XV67 explorer, a bold and innovative project set to redefine the shipyard’s reputation.
Developed in collaboration with the British design studio Winch Design, this concept was unveiled during the 2022 Monaco Yacht Show and has already garnered a fantastic response. While the XV67 unmistakably carries the Heesen DNA, it does so in a more ambitious and robust form. The goal is not only to attract a new audience within the explorer sector but also to cater to clients seeking a yacht engineered for safe and luxurious off-the-beaten-path adventures.
Although the XV67 is currently in its conceptual phase, Heesen and Winch Design have provided insights into the impressive features that prospective customers can expect on board.
At first glance, the XV67 boasts a striking design. Yet, this avant-garde style has been carefully crafted to blend seamlessly in any environment. Its muscular lines signal its capability to explore more remote destinations like the Galapagos Islands, while its elegance ensures it can effortlessly fit in with the glamorous scenes of St. Tropez or Portofino. “This concept is why we call her a crossover. It’s an exciting new DNA,” explains Heesen’s Chief Commercial Officer, Friso Visser.
Building upon their earlier creation of Heesen’s first explorer concept design, named XVenture, the XV67 pushes boundaries with innovative solutions, layouts, and appeal. The outcome is an exceptionally capable and beautifully designed bluewater explorer. “A lot of development has gone into this concept to create a new audience and market in the explorer sector for Heesen,” says Jim Dixon, Managing Partner and Creative Director for Yachts & Aviation at Winch Design. “It’s very much a new concept, rather than a continuation of XVenture,” he adds.
