Abel Tesfaye, widely recognized as The Weeknd, has called this farmhouse-style residence his home for the past three years. Situated in the celebrity enclave of Hidden Hills, north of Los Angeles, this property offers a quintessential weekend getaway.
Tesfaye, at the age of 30, earned an estimated $92 million in 2017 and paid $18.2 million for this 13,500-square-foot home when it was brand new.
The striking orange basketball court on the property makes it easily identifiable on Google Earth. Nestled on three acres of lush land, the home enjoys the highest level of privacy.
At night, the home’s garage emits dazzling illumination. Designed to accommodate Tesfaye’s ever-evolving car collection, the mirror-floored auto gallery can switch between purple, blue, and green neon lighting. The five-bay garage features glass-paneled doors and diffused ceiling lighting, allowing for an elegant showcase of the automobiles within.
The compound includes a two-story main house, a detached guest cottage, an eight-stall barn, a swimming pool, a cabana, a fitness center, and a yoga studio, all surrounded by towering redwood trees, well-kept lawns, and tall hedges for privacy.
A security gate and driveway lead to the concrete and grass parking area in front of the main residence, which is both elegant and unassuming.
It’s worth noting that the exotic cars parked outside the property, including a black Rolls-Royce Cullinan SUV, were brought together for the photoshoot and are not The Weeknd’s most recent acquisitions.
Inside the main residence, the interior design is minimalist and reminiscent of Scandinavian aesthetics. White walls, high ceilings, and wide-plank wood floors create an open and airy ambiance. The rooms are spacious, open-concept, and feature large glass pocket doors with black frames, seamlessly blending indoor and outdoor living spaces.
The chef’s kitchen boasts two granite waterfall islands, a professional-grade range, and a spacious stainless steel refrigerator and freezer. Nearby, a blue neon-lit climate-controlled wine cellar adds a touch of luxury.

The family room features a modern fireplace with a marble surround and opens to a heated, covered patio, perfect for outdoor dining. The first floor also includes a formal dining area, a movie screening room, an opulent office, and a corner bar.
Upstairs, the second floor houses seven bedrooms, including the master suite with its expansive walk-in closet, marble-lined bathroom with a distinctive tub and shower, and a private terrace accessible via an elegant wooden staircase.
Outdoors, overlooking the infinity-edged saltwater pool, the 1,200-square-foot guest cottage with two bedrooms offers generous covered lounging areas.
Tesfaye transformed the eight-stall barn into a recreational space, replacing horses with exercise equipment, comfortable couches, and a ping-pong table.
It remains unknown whether he intends to bring the ping-pong table with him to his new residence on the 18th floor of the boutique Beverly West condominium tower on Wilshire Boulevard in Los Angeles, which he acquired in December for $21 million. This 8,200-square-foot, four-bedroom condominium occupies the entire 22nd floor of the tower.
The Weeknd has enlisted agent Angel Salvador of The Agency to sell his Hidden Hills home, which is currently listed for $24.995 million.
