The newest SilverYachts concept is a shining example of marine design in multiple ways.
The 260-foot vessel, aptly named Silver Edge, features a glistening aluminium hull and superstructure, as well as an array of other opulent amenities. The Australian shipyard again collaborated with renowned naval architect and designer Espen ino, who has been instrumental in the creation of the Silver fleet, to design the vessel.
Silver Edge embodies the yard’s genetic code, which is the epitome of industrial elegance. The superyacht will have a beam of approximately 33 feet and a draught of approximately 9 feet in addition to its elegant design. Additionally, she provides a spacious interior of 1,030 GT that can be personalised for the owner.
Four guest cabins, three VIP cabins, and a spacious owner’s suite with a private salon and en suite can accommodate a total of 18 guests. There are also quarters for 17 crew members. However, sleep will not be a priority due to the abundance of entertaining activities onboard.
The main deck of the superyacht features a 16-foot-long bathing pool with an integrated glass bottom that is ideal for relaxing. This terrace also features a beautiful winter garden for relaxation, as well as a lounge and bar for drinking and dining. The sundeck features a Jacuzzi and an outdoor dining area.
The aft of the ship features a beach club, fitness centre, and dive centre, as well as a swim deck with a retractable pool platform.
A garage can store a 23-foot tender, Jet Skis, and wave runners, and a foredeck port can accommodate a rescue boat. The aft deck has space for an additional 30-foot tender. Using the concealed hoist in the ship’s rear, all of this equipment can be deployed into the water without any difficulty. Obviously, Silver Edge also has a helipad for incoming and outgoing flights.
Silver Edge is designed for global exploration and will presumably have a Trans-Atlantic range, though the shipyard did not provide any specifics regarding propulsion.
The new design arrives shortly after the introduction of the explorer yacht Bold by SilverYachts. The 279-foot aluminium explorer, which was unveiled in 2019, is the shipyard’s largest vessel to date and has received widespread acclaim.
Here’s hoping Silver Edge is just as daring when it ultimately hits the water.
