We showed you an additional vehicle owned by Morant last week, a Dodge Charger 392 Scat Pack, which, of course, costs a great deal less than a Rolls-Royce.
If you read that article, you may recall that I compared that Charger to the personality of Ja’s 2021-2022 Memphis Grizzlies team, and while those comparisons still hold, I’m not astonished that he also owns a Rolls-Royce Dawn. In 2019, Morant signed a four-year, $39.6 million contract with the Grizzlies, while a Dawn costs approximately $356,500.
The Dawn was introduced in 2015 as the successor to the Phantom Drophead Coupe, sharing the Ghost’s platform. In addition, it is one of only two Rolls-Royce variants still employing BMW architecture.
The “regular” version produces 563 hp (571 ps) and 605 lb-ft (820 Nm) of torque, while the “Black Badge” variant produces 593 hp (601 ps) and 620 lb-ft (841 Nm) of torque. This ultra-luxurious convertible will accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in less than 5 seconds and in the most tranquil manner imaginable. It is the ideal vehicle for a basketball player who always gives their all.
