Juno: Dixon Yacht Design’s Revolutionary 106m Crossover Concept

Recently, Dixon Yacht Design unveiled its new Juno crossover concept, measuring 106,4 metres in length. The superyacht is designed to “harmonise the best of motor yacht and sailing yacht design,” featuring a classic sailing profile and propulsion system as well as the amenities and features expected of a motor yacht of its scale.

The sail system on Juno is DynaRig, allowing for single-handed operation. She is primarily propelled by wind, with two electric energy-recovery turbines enhancing the environmentally conscious design of the superyacht.

There is space for up to twenty people across four decks, with one deck reserved exclusively for the proprietor. This includes eight guest accommodations and an owner’s cabin measuring 17.5 metres. Preliminary renderings depict a contemporary main saloon with low-profile velvet furniture, marble feature walls and an in-built alcove bar. The saloon also leads rearward to an eight-metre swimming pool and beach bar.

On the three decks of Juno are a variety of leisure facilities, including a movie theatre, solarium, fitness centre, and beach club. The beach club’s perception of space is enhanced by the open superstructure, extendable swim platform, and side-opening shell doors. The superyacht is also envisioned to feature a tender platform that is directly accessible from the main deck and can accommodate both a 10-meter limousine and a 10-meter sports tender.

Under sail, Juno will be able to attain 23 knots. This superyacht is the “mother” of Dixon Yacht Design’s crossover range, which consists of the 33-foot Mini Juno, the 46-foot, sub-500GT Juno GT, and the 72-foot Juno JR.
