Professional Golfer Justin Thomas sells Florida home for $3.1 million after price reduction

Justin Thomas, the former top-ranked professional golfer and one of the youngest players to secure two PGA Championships, has successfully sold his residence in South Florida just four months after it was listed, according to sources from The Post.

The home, located in Jupiter, was finalized as a purchase on Thursday for a price of $3.1 million. Despite being initially listed at $3.65 million in March, the property garnered a buyer following a price reduction of $550,000.

During his stay in the 5,545-square-foot mansion, Thomas, aged 30, clinched PGA Championships in both 2017 and 2022. He had originally acquired the property in 2016 for $1.48 million. The dwelling comprises four bedrooms, five full bathrooms, and two half-baths, featuring an intelligently designed split floor plan behind its gated entrance.

Within the primary suite, there exist two walk-in closets alongside two vanities. Each guest bedroom is outfitted with its own en-suite bathroom. Additional living space, amounting to 1,100 square feet, was constructed above the garage in 2018.

Outdoor amenities encompass a living area and a dining space, complete with a summer kitchen. Notably, the property includes a water ramp for convenient launching of jet skis, kayaks, and more.

The residence’s listing is held by former professional golfer Johnny DelPrete, in partnership with real estate firm Douglas Elliman. DelPrete cited the layout of the floor plan, the upper-level addition, and the expansive backyard as pivotal factors in the property’s allure.

Morten and Elisabeth Wengler, represented by Kathryn Lomax from Compass, are the purchasers of the property.

Justin Thomas’ accolades include triumphs such as the Players Championship in 2021 and the PGA of America Player of the Year Award in 2020. He is among a select group of six PGA Tour players to have achieved 15 victories and two major wins prior to turning 30, placing him alongside legendary figures such as Jack Nicklaus, Johnny Miller, Tom Watson, Rory McIlroy, and Tiger Woods.

In the 2022 PGA Championship, Thomas impressively rallied from a seven-stroke deficit at the commencement of the final round, matching the tournament’s record for the largest comeback after 54 holes. He secured his victory with a three-hole playoff, triumphing over Will Zalatoris to claim his second championship title.

The residence boasts various areas such as the kitchen and entertainment space, providing a truly luxurious and versatile living environment.
