There are only three Rolls-Royce Boat Tail vehicles ever produced, and one of them is owned by the rapper Jay-Z and his wife, Beyonce, according to Telegraph.
Recently, Rolls-Royce introduced the remarkable Boat Tail, created by their Coachbuilt division. The Boat Tail stands out with its design inspired by luxury yachts, and only three units were crafted, with a speculated price of up to $28 million.
Rolls-Royce has not officially revealed the identities of the three Boat Tail owners. Telegraph reports that Jay-Z and Beyonce are the owners of one of these three Boat Tails.
Telegraph presents some evidence for this speculation. Firstly, the rear compartment of the Rolls-Royce Boat Tail features a refrigerator that can hold two bottles of Armand de Brignac champagne, chilled precisely to 6 degrees Celsius.
According to Rolls-Royce representatives, this is a favorite champagne of the customer. Interestingly, Armand de Brignac is a brand founded by Jay-Z, and the rapper recently sold a 50% stake in the company earlier this year.
Additionally, the car’s design is reminiscent of the beautiful coastal roads of the Cote D’Azur in the Mediterranean. This is a place where the famous couple often retreats for outdoor leisure. This detail also explains the presence of outdoor amenities in the rear compartment.
Lastly, the Boat Tail is finished in blue paint, and Rolls-Royce revealed that this paint color is named after the owner. Telegraph discovered that one of the shades of blue inside the car is naмed “Blue Ivy.” Jay-Z and Beyonce’s 9-year-old daughter is named Blue Ivy Carter.
According to Telegraph’s sources, rapper Jay-Z signed his naмe on the underside of the Rolls-Royce logo at the front of the car, while his wife’s signature is on the logo at the rear. Both signatures also appear in the engine bay.
Rolls-Royce stated that the first Boat Tail was acquired by a customer who already owns a 1932 Boat Tail. Jay-Z is said to be the owner of this vintage model.
While the concept of Bespoke refers to personalized details on existing car platforms, Coachbuilt takes it further. This concept is for cars that are manufactured and designed uniquely and, of course, the features are not merely optional but made according to the customer’s requests.
